The Uvize logo design was created over the summer of 2011, and incorporates an open book & pages in brilliant blue color tones to symbolize the goal of this Boulder Educational company: to prepare high school students for their journey into college and future educational experiences. We initially began working with Uvize on the Boulder logo design as part of a greater project that first included the logo design portion of the project, followed by another project phase that included customizing a Wordpress installation and theme based on the creative logo design to reach out to their targeted demographic of both students and their parents.

We were challenged on this Boulder Logo Design project to create a simple, iconic, and memorable graphic logo design that conveyed all the concepts of "Academic", "Youth" and "Modern" for students as well as their parents. Blue was the client's choice, but we worked closely with the client to dial that color choice in to something bold, bright, and easily readable on both light and dark background colors through many creative rounds & revisions. Other elements within the logo design, like the open book graphic, by itself does not read as a specific letter, but within the logo design, this iconic book & pages graphic takes on new meaning, and clearly communicates as the letter "V" within the logo design.

In the large image of the logo design above, you will see the logo sitting in the newly customized website template, including customized background, graphic elements and ...

The Home Energy Saving Solutions logo design was created in early 2011, and incorporates a rich & vibrant green, as well as an energy efficient bulb as a substitution for the letter "E" of "energy" in the company name. We initially began working with Home Energy Saving Solutions on the logo design as part of a greater project that included the logo, and then designing and developing a website based on that logo design to inform customers about their services, home energy efficiency improvements, home energy audits for customers in the Austin, Texas, area.

We were challenged on this project to create a simple, icon, and memorable logo that conveyed the concepts of "Home", "Energy", "Efficiency", and "Environmental Improvements" for homeowners as well as green energy solutions. Green became the obvious color choice, but we worked closely with the client to dial that color choice in to something bold, bright, and easily readable on both light and dark background colors. Other elements within the logo, like the CFL bulb, by itself does not read as a specific letter, but within the logo design, this energy efficient iconic graphic takes on new meaning, and clearly conveys the energy message that is core to this companies values and services. Additionally, a roofline graphic element was extended from the top of the first letter of the company name, and extends across the entire logo to create the effect of a home building protecting interior elements, like the energy efficient bulb. The termination of that ...

This logo & web design project for Monarch Communications, in Louisville, Colorado, was completed on an accelerated timeline beginning with logo design creative, and finishing with a fully customized Wordpress installation, theme, admin panel, and banner graphics on the site. The client was interested in a clean and contemporary look for their logo, with an equally clean web design layout to draw attention to the primary service of the company, which is case studies and building customer reference programs.

The client had their primary colors, Blue and Green, picked out in advance, and several rounds of creative were explored during the logo design process to reach the final logo design. A san-serif font treatment was used in this butterfly logo design, with subtle gradients and light effects to create the finalized look. We prepared horizontal and vertical "stacked" variations on this logo, and delivered these to the client in .eps vector formats for printing on business cards and brochures, as well as .jpg raster graphics for use on Facebook, Linked In, and Twitter accounts.

For the Web Design portion of this project, we began by setting up hosting, email accounts, and custom Wordpress installation, and then began developing the theme for this project as well as custom banner graphics and other web design elements. Custom Wordpress admin interface controls were created to allow Monarch Communications to easily add portfolio items and other content into their site in the future, and four banner graphics were added to the site homepage. In addition, ...

This Boulder Logo Design Conscious Key project started with a request for a quote through our Cloudburst website contact form. New to the Boulder, CO, area and in the process of solidifying a space for their store on the beautiful Pearl Street Mall, the Conscious Key folks were looking to develop a new logo design for their business that communicated their philosophy and storefront accurately. The Pearl Street Mall has a great deal of foot traffic, high visibility, and definitively portrays the iconic image of Boulder with small, local shops, great atmosphere, and the Flatirons as the natural backdrop and scenery for the setting.

With very little logo design direction we set to work brainstorming ideas based on the name and the description of their store. The Conscious Key "will sell products and services that promote consciousness and awareness, like gem stones, books, health products, art, meditation chairs etc. Things that help people find there own self." After several internal rounds of sketches, brainstorming, and creative efforts, we delivered a first round of logo design ideas to the Boulder company that covered a huge variety of styles hoping that one would hit close to the owners' hearts. After feedback and close communication with the client, rounds two and three of the logo design and revision process were spent refining one of our initial logo design ideas, customizing the font, tweaking the colors and playing with horizontal and vertical layouts. This process took place over a couple of weeks time.

The final logo ...

The Indian Peaks Golf Course logo redesign was awarded to Cloudburst after an open call for proposals. The Golf Course was interested in updating the Course logo and overall public image, and then using those new brand standards on their new website and merchandise.

They asked for a logo that symbolized their name, set them apart from the competition and conveyed a professional, elegant, and contemporary image for their Golf Course. We held weekly design feedback meetings with the Board, where we presented design concepts and discussed new ideas to explore the following week. Out of this revision and feedback process, the final logo variations emerged.

To complete the project, we provided Indian Peaks with dozens of logo layout variations for the web, print, embroidery, screen printing, and other different uses on Course Merchandise like hats, shirts, pens, jackets, and towels, as well as Course signs, rugs, and even window applications. This project consisted of a complete re-branding for this Municipal Public Golf Course here in Lafayette, Colorado.

Sigma Development Group is a Denver software development company that contacted us late in 2009 to create a new logo for their company as they went through a name change in anticipation of an upcoming product launch in early 2010. They had a very clear direction and color scheme in mind for the logo design, and we worked closely with them on color variations as well as font treatments on this design. This project was happening at the same time as the company name change, so we experimented with many different tag-lines on the logo, and finally settled on the name that was chosen.

As you can see in the design above, the final logos files were delivered as color variants over white and black, and they were provided in both raster a vector formats for use on the web or in future print projects that Sigma has in mind.

The Denver based Colorado Dance Alliance hired us to redesign their logo and website in the summer of 2009. There are many different dance disciplines that the CDA is involved with, so creating a logo and website that spoke to all those different groups was a great challenge that we enjoyed being a part of.

The logo design for this Denver Company was a smaller portion of a much larger project, including a full website redesign and implementation of a listing web application for dance events, auditions, classes, jobs postings, and classifieds for anything happening in the world of Dance in Colorado. For the logo, we decided to explore a simple text treatment, but with a stylized dance figure that would cross these various dance genres to project that CDA really is a dance alliance, and not exclusive to any one particular dance group.

All project files were delivered in both vector and web formats, and pre-sized images were created for easy inclusion into Word and PDF documents.

A new/startup GIS company based in of Southern Maine, Androscoggin Mapping contacted us in early 2009 to create a logo for their new business. They were operating on a tight budget, and wanted to clearly demonstrate the concept of geography, as well as their location within this logo design.

Being a GIS company, they wanted to be sure that the environmental nature of their business was clear through this logo design, as well as their particular focus of "GIS and Spatial Analysis" since it's incorporated in the company tagline. Three final variations were delivered to Androscoggin Mapping on different colored backgrounds for use on the web and in print projects going forward.
